@Gramma Chick I got them at 8 weeks old from someone that had two pullets and two cockerals for sale, supposedly. The two cockerals were obvious then so we thought for awhile we had girls. *sigh*

I totally understand your frustration. I bought what I was told were two pullets by an experienced breeder last year that assured me they were girls. lightchick, I suspect they use the squeeze method, then they might look at comb placement. Reading through this thread, you will find that there seems to be quite a bit of hit-and-miss with this particular breed.

The chick is squeezed and the vent is examined. With training and experience, they can be 95% accurate.Save my chickens from random squeezing....what's the "squeeze method"?
