baby duck with lots of problems

Patty have you ever looked at the house duck thread? @Featherfarmer just posted some pics of her disabled crested duck in a wheelchair type contraption. Maybe hubby can make one for Turbo. Looks like it's made of PVC pipe.


Oh, and love the pics! Que Sera is so sweet with Turbo!

Hubby is really good about building things for the chickens and ducks. He has built 2 coops, ladders, perches, nesting boxes, little houses for the broody ducks when they refused to go in their big coop.

I wrote a note to the etsy sight to see if they think they can make Turbo a harness. I hope they get back with me. It's going to have to be a tiny harness.

I'm looking forward to Turbo walking on his own. If he does he will be free to roam the yard with the other ducks and just be a normal duck. If not Turbo will probably be a houseduck.

Thanks so much Smurfrew i just went to the sight and found the pics of the wheelchair. I showed it to Hubby and asked Featherfarmer to please send another pic without precious little Weebles in it so Hubby can get a better idea how it's made. I think he can make it. Turbo would love zooming around in that. He's going to have to get bigger tho.

Yes he needs one to grow with. I hope he hits a growth spurt soon. He is shoveling the food I don't understand why he isn't growing that much.

I'm going to check that site for a harness.That's what I was trying to make but couldn't quite get it together. Something to where it is going to hold him up. Thanks so much.


Have a great day all I'm going to take Turbo out for his PT and Que Sera for her romp around my feet time. I did put Que Sera in the wadding pool outside yesterday. She loved it. When the big ducks come up to her she opens her bill and hisses at them. She has them all buffaloed.
