baby duck with lots of problems

So your saying yours won't get on the patio table?? I look out the front door every morning and I usually have about 4 on my table on the front porch and we have a gate in front of the steps to keep them off. Once I had a window box with some pretty flowers in it right under my kitchen window over 4' high on outside walked up to the sink and low and behold there was one of my hens standing in the window box eating. None of my LF girls could do this these were my game bantam hens.

Looks like they pretty much picked those heads clean.
They have gotten up on the patio table before but not often. They prefer the flower bed. They have destroyed everything but my spike plant. It must not taste very good and that's the reason they leave it alone.

The bantams are the worst. They have those little bodies and big wings. I can see them getting in that window box since it's 4 foot off the ground. Chickens prefer the comfortable furniture. They get in our lawn chairs and if let them in the house they will find the beds or the couch very much to their liking.

Thank you . Not that I had anything to do with them being beautiful I owe that all to my girls.

Now you did take care of them in order for them to be able to lay those beautiful eggs.

Weeeeeee, Patty, Que Sera. Penciling out. Love it. She pancakes too, doesn't she? You've managed to write another great daily update about the goings on of your diverse flock. Always love reading your posts.
Oh yes she still pancakes in the yard. She hasn't been in the house for a week now. She had ate alot of watermelon that day and i went through half a roll of towel paper trying to clean up her messes. Thanks I'm glad you enjoy my posts I love sharing their antics.

it's almost like everywbere she could go as long as there's something reflective to look at she sees Princess.
When she comes in she spends alot of time looking at Princess in the oven door. Thank goodness for princess we would have been deaf listening to her quack in the house.

Hoopoose, pencil to a pancake. So cute to see. My finch hen does the same thing and it is so cute. I guess it's something common amongst the different bird species.

You're welcome. I get a laugh and a fun visual when you post their antics.

And I am all too familiar with the messes birds always make. When mine fly loose in the house, I am always cleaning up.

I can imagine if you have chickens and/or ducks someday, Julie. They'll all be spoiled rotten, probably sitting with you at the kitchen table and you won't have a flower left in the yard.

Yes I think she will have plenty of chickens and ducks. That is too funny sitting at the kitchen table with her. They would enjoy every minute of it too especially if she has a cushion on her chairs. They prefer comfort. The chickens and the ducks think you plant the flowers just for them.

Ha-ha, you both are so right. Spoiled rotten and will think everything was meant for them. I love the idea of my future chickens having cushions on the chairs they sit upon while they join me for a meal.
