They have gotten up on the patio table before but not often. They prefer the flower bed. They have destroyed everything but my spike plant. It must not taste very good and that's the reason they leave it alone. So your saying yours won't get on the patio table?? I look out the front door every morning and I usually have about 4 on my table on the front porch and we have a gate in front of the steps to keep them off. Once I had a window box with some pretty flowers in it right under my kitchen window over 4' high on outside walked up to the sink and low and behold there was one of my hens standing in the window box eating. None of my LF girls could do this these were my game bantam hens.
Looks like they pretty much picked those heads clean.
The bantams are the worst. They have those little bodies and big wings. I can see them getting in that window box since it's 4 foot off the ground. Chickens prefer the comfortable furniture. They get in our lawn chairs and if let them in the house they will find the beds or the couch very much to their liking.
