baby duck with lots of problems

Thanks Julie really I don't watch tv at all.  I have all my entertainment in the yard and I do crafts and I read a lot too.

When you go in the yard you don't know what your going to see.  You may see romance, comedy, a sad story, fights or their favorite is the food channel.  Sometimes you may even see x-rated especially when your sisters drop you off and one says oh Patty that duck is killing the other one.  No their just having sex.

Hubbie and I just did a search and rescue.  We have a a big flight cage in the coop and Jr. the old rooster usually stays in that.  The door is always open and he entertains Phyllis she comes in and out and sometimes Goldie visits him.  Well this morning when I fed them Jr. come outside.  Usually when he goes out him and Bubba have a go around.  Kung fu fighting is popular with the roosters.  I really didn't see him fight at all this morning.  Then when I go to feed them this evening  Jr is not in his cage and he is no where to be found.  We search the coop and the yard and I finally find him.  He is stuck between the privacy fence and the chain link fence and he can't get out.  He is ok I put him back in the cage and he is eatting.  I don't know how long he was stuck there and how he got all the way on the other side of the fence.  I'm just glad I found him.

Oh, Patty, so glad you located sweet Jr bird and he is save now. Your backyard goings on are such your backyard should be its own planet. Things are so dynamic there. So fun and cute all of it. Love the daily funnies you provide.

I fed the chickens and ducks this morning and I was almost afraid to open the coop door.  I was worried that Jr might be sick.  He was fine and demanding his boiled eggs so he could call Phyllis to join him in the cage.

I spoke to Que Sera and told  her how beautiful she was.  You know she is not quacking all the time like she used to.  I guess they convinced her to be quiet unless she had something really important to say.  Do I miss her little voice?  Yes I do even when I think back to the times when she sounded like a tornado siren going off in the hallway.

I got Que Seras picture finished last night.  I cut out medal butterflies and painted them and glued them down.  I also did some little flowers.  I put some real duck feathers on  her tail.  She has a little gold crown on top of her head.  She looks like  a real princess now.

I hope everyone has a nice day and hugs a chicken or duck and of course Julie hug  your finch ducks.

Patty
I will hug my little goobers, Patty. I find your description of the way Que Sera used to sound.

The revised and revamped Que Sera and Uno and group. You can see Uno's wing sticking up. He is the one under the bush he looks solid white in the pic. Behind the gray and white duck.

Ohhhh, Patty, we need to see the finished product purty please!

A couple of nights ago I was putting the babies to bed. They had finished their peas and were just chattering amongst themselves. Then I remembered they, especially Alfalfa, used to like me singing to them when they were in the brooder. After a few seconds of me singing, they all got completely quiet, stood all still just looking at me and my girl Alfalfa wagged her tail at me! I know it wasn't just a twitch because she did it like 6 times and she didn't stop until my song was over. TOO CUTE!!

That's sweet she was enjoying your singing. All of them in fact they got quiet so they could listen to your voice. They were remembering their childhood. I think they have good memories.

WoW, Patty! Love that! It's very pretty. Thanks for sharing.

Aw, I love the thought of that...them remembering their childhood. I love them so much!
Thanks it's an improvement I think. I love my ducks too, some more then others.

Poor Jr. so glad you found him and he is okay. Bless.
I would have spent half the night looking for him if I hadn't found him. Poor thing they get into tight spaces then they can't get out. Years ago Coach our little bantam coachan (sp) was missing and we couldn't find him. He had his head stuck in the gate and I pulled him out and I went flat down on my butt. What we won't do for our birds.

Now that is when we really needed Robbie for a good pic of you pulling your roo out and sitting down on you butt. LOL

I'm glad he didn't get a pic of that. After I got up I had to look around to see if anybody was looking.
