baby pigeon found! need help

Looks like a wood pigeon, which is why it’s so large. It does not look ready to leave the nest to me. Usually they are a bit more feathered in and have lost the yellow fuzz before they leave the nest. How soon can you take him to the rehabilitation center?

in not at least a week, i live in quite a small area and only big ones are open but theyre at least 1 hour away, we have a holiday over here rn, thats why most are closed.

you can see if theres a rehabilitator around that will take it in or youll have to take care of it yourself.
how do i take care of it the best way possible? just like with baby crows? since hes very scared of me and slaps me whenever im near him, i did force feed him which he didn’t completely like

What are you feeding him? If you offer seeds, does he show interest in eating on his own? I do believe you did the right thing in rescuing him. Not being able to fly on a hot road is a recipe for disaster for a young bird. And, if he has blood on him, he may have been attacked or knocked out of the nest and may need antibiotics.

i feed him the same type of feed i use for baby chicks, i have no clue what it is in the english language (my apologies) its a sort of flouris consistency, and yeah i found him in the middle of the road

I would try offering seed to him to see if he’ll start to eat on his own. He may not eat when you’re around, though. Also, offer water in a small container to see if he’ll drink on his own. If you have to continue to force feed him, I would get some de-shelled peas, defrost them, and put them one at a time into the back of his beak (don’t put them down his throat).
