It's a mix we have for orphan mice, and I'm not sure how good it all is for the pigeon. The fellow loves the corn though! Pigeon food is arriving tomorrow.

I forgot if we mentioned regular wild bird seed mix would be fine fhr the meantime? The corn will help him regain weight.

There are many types of perches but I like these I made myself. They can easily be moved and re-positioned. You could attach by screwing them to a piece of wood on the outside of the cage bars. Each is made of two 6" pieces of 1 x 4. Cut the sharp corners off the horizontal piece.

Those look nice! We just have the pigeon in a parrot cage for the moment. I built a little shelf and he/she has been hanging out up there.

This is the pigeon that literally came and knocked on my glass doors asking for help about 6 months ago. He had no tail feathers and couldn't fly. I tracked his owner down and they said he was from Michigan! I'm in Colorado so I was shocked but it turns out that they recently moved here so they came and got him. My boy's were sad to see him go but we had a wonderful few days caring for him.
