Banded Pigeon Found - Assistance Please

Two questions: 1) Is the partially webbed left foot a normal thing for pigeons? 2) Nail trimming?View attachment 1543470
P.S. Is it time to remove that band?

Thanks! We were more curious about the partial webbed foot than anything else. Thanks for the thoughts about the band. The only real concern is that if Pal got out and then someone returned him to his original home (although given our experience trying to reach them, that seems unlikely).

We're pretty smitten with the lil fella, and he certainly has us figured out! :)

I'm trying to remember who asked about webbed feet in pigeons, ...was it you?:)

It was @3bird , if the above posts are the ones you were thinking about.

Kind of you to look after the wee bird... Can you get any electrolytes in the water? If you have any on hand, like Sav-a-Chick or even some Gatorade.
You can look up the owner and you might get lucky, but generally racing guys don't want a bird like that back. He values the birds that made it home more. And then there is the cost of shipping. Good luck!

@PigeonLady No offense, but the original post was 5 months ago. They are quite past all that now. :D

I have also just found a banded pigeon. It’s band is from the western fantail club.

If they still don't get back to you, I think you need to find it a mate. ;)
