Sorry to get a little off topic about banning wool but I just read an article on Daily Mail about the fake Ugg boots having real raccoon dog fur on them.
It's disgusting that you can't even buy something that is suppose to be fake fur and it ends up having real fur on it. Seems like fake fur would be cheaper to make than paying people to trap and skin the animals.
I remember an article a long time ago when the coats with the fake fur trim on the hoods ended up having raccoon dog fur on them. Somewhere a JcPennys store had to take the coats off the racks. They wrote raccoon fur on the tags and then tried to resale the coats but got caught.
I'm against skinning any animal alive and treating the animal badly before the animal dies. That is what disgusts me about the raccoon dogs and how they skin them. At least with something like a cow they are raised on a farm and treated fairly decent and get to have a pretty good life at least on my FIL's farm. They are also humanely killed and have most if not all of the whole animal used.
