I for one thought they both did well, but no one talked about the working poor just the middle class.
I DO NOT want 8 more years of what we just had.
I will proubly vote Democrat.
and there is a 3rd party running plus some its just the media picks favorites and does not give the others coverage...
The Libertarian Party has nominated former Congressman Bob Barr, the Constitution Party has nominated pastor and radio talk show host Chuck Baldwin, and the Green Party has nominated former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. Ralph Nader declined to seek the Green Party nomination and is running as an independent candidate.

Good morning to all,

As a registered democrat that generally split my ticket when voting (voting for the best candidate whether democrat, republican or independent), I have to say that I was surprised by the improvement of Palin but still not impressed.

I'm not convinced that McCain made the right choice for the Republican Party. McCain could have chosen Former Gov. Christine Todd-Whitman (Republican) as his running mate. She is well know and respected in our country. She was the 9th Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency and has done great things for the State of New Jersey and our Country.

Palin is not a good representation of Women or Republicans, so to say that she did a great job on last evening is an extreme over statement. The winks

and little colloquialisms are not cute and are an insult to the intelligence of the voters. She is indeed out of her league.

My position has nothing to do with her experience because, in my opinion, the whole notion of "EXPERIENCE" has been over-rated. George W. Bush has "EXPERIENCE" and look at our current situation. It appears that everyone seems to forget about that fact.

Joe Biden on the other hand did a very good job stating his position and then providing either supporting facts or a plan of action. Great job!!

Now with that being said, LET"S TALK CHICKEN!!!!!!!!!!!

AMEN Bishopschickens!! I agree. Obama scares the heck out of me, he is so forked tongued! tells you what you want to hear but does what he wants. At least Sara puts it out there and does not try to hide her human faults, like her daughter being pregnant out of wedlock. For crimeny sakes, we allow gay marriages! Ok I gotta get off my soap box.

As for the women in power thing. Look a this country. From where I sit, when the PTA decided to let the men run it look what has happened to the schools!!!! Our school systems stink! Put the women in there and let them get us back to what this country was founded on. God First! We were based on In God We Trust, who we trusting now? Not that I am a bible thumper but if we falter from our original beliefs, what our country was founded on, we are just a bunch of people without a common goal!

I also agree that you are not voting for the vice-president to be the president, but they are putting so much on Obama versus Palin, who is running for president, pretty pittiful that Obama is so scared of Palin that he has to attack her. Does McCain not have anything worth attacking, well America! There you go, that should answer your question as to who should be president! Think about it people, WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! Stand up and vote!

Oh yeah and for those of us (yes me included) if you don't like the choices, stand up and put your name on the ballot. This is a tough job to handle and I applaud anyone that wants to put their family values, and immediate family and personal life out there for the media to pick apart. Can any of you or do any of you want the media picking apart your life, think about it. What these people/candidates have done is put their families on the line for scrutiny to stand up for what they believe America should be. Anyone want to stand up and be put out there. I don't really!

frogdog god bless your husband and your family as I know it is tough! I have a few friends and family over fighting right now. One was killed last year in afghanistan but we need to finish this for they did not die for nothing. Also remember everyone says mccains plan has no end in sight but neither does obamas. No you do not have to fight for your country to love it and be a true american. However I will take mccain over obama as comander in chief as that is what he is experienced in. I always try to make myself as a person who is caught in between to vote for during debates, adds, or anything else political and this time I cant think of one thing obama stands for that i agree with. Also his health care plan scares me as I will always carry my own policy some how even though it kills me. No government will take over where I go, how im treated, and when im treated!

I've never been too into politics, and although I'm a registered Republican, I usually vote for the candidate that I think is best. At first I liked Obama and thought he would be a good candidate. However, after researching facts and watching the debates, I do not trust him or Biden one bit. I noticed several times in both debates how both Obama and Biden contradicted themselves. Last night, if I heard correctly, when asked if Biden supported same sex marriages and civil liberties/equal rights, he said yes. He felt that same sex couples should be able to get healthcare and visiting rights in hospitals. (BTW, what about committed but unmarried men/women? We don't have those rights...but anyway...)

When Palin was asked the same question, she flat out said no. Then Biden said he did not support it either so they agreed there. HUH??? If I heard wrong, please let me know. But this was one example - Obama did the same on different issues during his debate.

Many people say that Palin doesn't have the experience, but neither does Obama. I would rather have an experienced individual as president with an inexperienced VP who can learn as they go, than an inexperienced individual as president with an experienced VP. Even Geraldine Ferraro said in the interview afterwards that the VP really has no power.

JMHO and I don't mean to insult anyone please; not my intention. This was just one example of contradiction that I heard.

Agree totally!!!!
(Try Glenn Beck. That's a good place to start..)

Why not just say "Watch FOX and that's it!" and get it over with. As for watching Glenn Beck for real factual news, insinuating that watching a show based on one mans OPINION is better for getting FACTS than watching a miriad of respected news networks is just plain ignorant.

fatguyaz no I dont recommend watching any of them as getting online and pulling up facts of the candidates is much easier. Now yes I watch fox due to you get views from both sides which many times I have agreed with both parties. Cannot sit on the other stations and watch mccain and palin bashed for true and false accusations. But with that said its easy to pull up facts on these people on your own. I dont need a journalist opinion to make my own.

Okay, I have had enough politics for the day and lets all keep this nice.....Back to chicken talk for me. Off to other topics, this is my break from daily stress and I want to enjoy my time.
