I don't know if I have the heart for that...
However, I did feel his crop and it was full and liquidy. I don't know for sure if it was this way before he passed, but I am inclined to believe so.

I think diatomaceous earth can help (very small amounts around the run) with killing of bugs and worms ect

So sorry for your loss. I know nothing about chicken parasites, but that looks like nothing that is coming up in my searches. You might want to make a new post with the pictures to see if anyone can help you id the worm.

I'm so sorry you lost your rooster. I agree with others it doesn't look parasitic, but I would deworm the entire flock again with a different dewormer to be safe. Different dewormers affect different parasites and worms. Better to be safe than sorry, and it won't hurt them to be treated again.

Nothing is turning up in my searches.. make a post to see if anyone knows. Store the worm in the fridge in an airtight container for the vets to look at

It’s not that this worm killed him per say; it seems more like something impacted the crop and that grub was part of the crop contents.

I see... so did he eat the grub and it lived in the crop? Or did an egg get in... ofc you probably can't tell... just baffled
