I am assuming ducks are allowed too! And by hatched do you mean, incubated by me, and/or hatched from a broody in my flock? Just not purchased from a store? Thanks!

This is Beane, a male Tibetan tuxedo coturnix. I rescued him off craigslist when he was five weeks old. He was going to be a companion for my other quail, a bobwhite hen (found wandering in my yard), but she scalped him. Beane fully recovered, though he’s still missing some of the feathers on his head, making it look like he’s balding. Since then he’s gotten tame due to me handling him a lot. His hobbies include sticking his head up my sleeve, dust-bathing vigorously, and trying to flirt with chickens.

Story:
This guy was supposed to hatch a full Sebright, but we got a better surprise! We got a dozen eggs from our neighbors for fun, and he was the first to hatch. He hatched on day 16 of incubation (crazy right?!) and suffered extreme blood loss. He slept in the incubator for days and was the last one in after the rest hatched. Today he’s the prettiest cockerel in our flock, and LOVES the girls. We’ve decided to keep him and have him as our main rooster after our 7 year old main guy passes!

Iris, my pretty little baby! Who has won Best Variety!She is a pretty little bantam Cochin pullet who is a blue. This girl just crept up with her beauty! She was against 5 other blues!

My sweet Starlight with tude! Bantam Cochin with Reserve Variety under her belt! She was entered as a splash bantam Cochin hen and against like 5-6 other splash. She has officially laid her first egg. She has only once seen her coop in the 6 months of her life!

Stardust, she hates her picture taken! She has never been to a show! She is my first ever splash and pretty much gets to love life as a breeder and a free ranger!
