Spyder heard hard footsteps, then the brush made way and an icy form burst out of the trees, then slammed into one....."shimmer!" Spyder yelled, a relieved hint in his voice. He rushed over and helped her stand," shimmer.... Are you ok?! What happened?! I thought the humans killed you!" He rambled softly.
Shimmer snapped back to her senses when she saw Spyder. "Oh....uh....Spyder! Thanks," she said, blushing with embarassment. "I'm pretty sure I'm okay for the moment other than the fact that I just rammed into a tree....I also thought the humans were gonna kill me, but for some reason there was this one human that actually let me escape....." she groaned. "There's soooo much to tell, I dont even know where to start. So the humans shot me with this itty bitty stick and it made me pass out somehow.....next thing I know I'm in a cage. Some more humans came along and went inside the cage and held me down and stuck me with more tiny sticks. And then there was this weird dragon....she was so small! Like, less than a third of my size! She kinda told me all about what the humans were planning on doing with me, and some sort of room and something about the humans taking eggs away from their mothers....it was awful. Well she thought she ruled the world, so I kinda shooed her away. And then the humans came back and made me pass out again and next thing I know I'm back in my cage with this pretty much healed cut on my belly. I have no idea what happened while I had passed out, but when I woke up there was this human that opened the cage and let me free!" She said, all in one breath.
Spyder listened intently, almost losing focus while watching her, she was so beautiful... But he came back to his senses and was horrified by what the humans do, and what they did to shimmer! " I honestly don't know what to say to that.... That's a pretty nasty cut, does it feel ok?!" He asked
"Yeah, it feels fine, actually. It's probably gonna leave a nice big scar though. I think the humans might have done something to make it heal faster. I dont even know how I got it, I just happened to wake up with it." She looked at him in his handsome eyes, then glanced away, blushing again.
" That's odd....maybe they have healing powers or something? Let's get you to camp, everyones been worried, especially axel. "And me" He thought to himself, then noticed shimmer looking at him and smiled," I'm so glad your back"
"Yeah, maybe they do. I'm glad to be back too." Shimmer said. "....and I'm glad to see you," she added quietly.
Spyder smiled happily and looked at her," I'm glad to see you too" he said kindly, in the same soft tone as her. Spyder pressed his wings together and slowly lifted off, waiting for shimmer to follow.
Spyder glanced behind him at the moonlit icedragon and sighed with amazement, he flew higher and higher until he could just make out the last sliver of light leaving the horizon.
