Blind Wyandottes

Back in February I got a shipment of Wyandottes from McMurray hatchery. Four of the chicks turned out to be stone blind. I was just talking about them in another post and it made me wonder if anyone else has gotten chicks that turned out to be blind from the hatchery. I never thought much of it but someone told me I should call the hatchery about it so I think I'm going to do that. Just wondering if my experience is unique or if others had the same issue.

You need to let them know. The Hatchery may not be aware of this and it is not common at all....

I plan to call them now that people have mentioned it to me. I have 3 silver penciled and one Colombian all hatched on Feb 21 of this year. The other 24 chicks from the shipment are fine.
