what is a Bovan Brown?

I was reading an article (Meet Real Free-Range Eggs) in "Mother Earth News"

they were in a chart with a farm in TX & NC!

I have had Bovan Brown Hens. I have been told they are a cross between a Road Island Red Hen and a White Legorn Rooster. My Bovan Browns laid the most beautiful eggs. Their eggs all had the most perfect brown color in the shell. They laid everyday very early in the morning without fail and did this for about two and half years. I could go and gather all the eggs at about 10am and my gathering was done until the next day. These chickens did not molt which I thought was strange. Their production of eggs lasted until about two and half years then they started to die off and were gone in no time. They are not a chicken you want to keep for a long time, but for production they cannot be beat. They are a very gentle chicken. I would go to the hen house and they would gather around my feet wanting me to pick them up. Really nice chickens.

Does anyone know a Hatchery that has BOVAN BROWN or ISA BROWN Chicks for at least 500 pullet chicks thanks for your help.
