Brabanters and Spitzhaubens--The Differences PIC HEAVY!

She's a definite walnut. His tail sure goes up! I wonder if the tail is something that changes with age? As the feathers lengthen they hold them more upright? Probably not. I have a feeling that Spitz are slowish to develop. Mine seem to be taking their time.

I've see Dutch (MAYBE NORWEGIAN?) sites with Brabanters that clearly have a more Polish crest. I guess perfection is eluded worldwide

I think you just may be right about perfection.

hallerlake: I was hoping someone who knows would answer about spangles. Because I can't be very technical. But in a nutshell, spots are round and spangles are at the end of the feather, sort of a fat sideways C, I think. I'm wondering if tear shape is considered spangles, too. I don't know but might see if I can find out.
