It really depends on what's available in your area. I use a layer feed that is 18% protein and has probiotics in it. I went with this option because I have ducks and chickens and wanted a lil higher protein content. It is actually same protein as my chick starter/grower. It also has no soy and extra Omega fatty acids. In my area it isn't much more than regular layer feed maybe a buck or so difference on 40lbs bag. It's Nature Wise by Nutena and called hearty hen. If they have it at your feed store you can check out the nutrient content. secondly can i mix both to feed my chickens ?
thirdly can i add any protein like soya or fish to the layer or grower feed for them ?
i need urgent help i want to change their feed a little i used to feed them with grower feed
