Thanks Gary, I have put one of my light males on my best typed buff pullet. Maybe I can get a few super-good light females to show with the wide skull, broad back, and well spread inverted "U" tails. Just a little side "project", my lights are pretty good anyway. Just not quite on par with my buffs.

Your exhibit A is interesting.

Her momma was a splash blue silver columbian (splash blue light) that I put in the blue laced red pen. But the pullet was obviously a carryover from a silver laced male. Resulting in incomplete blue lacing.

Still a really pretty bird, Gary!

If you used the splash male, would it be difficult to keep the dark blue lacing? Or you mix him with Dan's black laced?
I really like the color in the dark laced roo in the first pic. Hopefully you can get those black laced red soon.

Those BLRB girls look really nice and big, fluffy and soft!

Congrats! It will drive you crazy waiting for them to sprout. Mine are 8 months and still growing. Not a lot of eggs yet. I told the hubby to go squeeze them or sing to them. I can sit for hours and watch them. I have never seen a rooster so gentle to a hen. Enjoy watching them grow.
