Brakel Chickens?

The Brakel is an extremely rare Belgium breed similar to the Campine.
Greenfire Farms hasn’t sold Brakels in a while but if you are able to keep cockerels/cocks where you live you should definitely take them.

I keep mine for pets, I'm not huge into showing or breeding, the last time I had baby birds was when my duck hid her nest and I couldn't find it until just a week before her ducklings hatched
Their hatch day is Sept. 22, so just under 2 months.

They might not be the sharpest tool in the shed.... They might be trying to trick someone.

I obviously don't know a thing about this breed so I could (I wouldn't have looked twice at the ad) have been tricked...if they were look a likes.​

If they're as rare as Brahma says (and as this person claims), AND this person switched the hatchery they were from, AND free?? I doubt they're full blood, if Brakels at all.

They look like Brakel chickens to me. Perhaps parent stock originally came from Green Fire Farms. Why not pose your questions to the person advertising the birds ?

Yeah, me too, but I have to be realistic, especially since I'm not supposed to get more chickens right now. Not really that I'm not supposed to, but I've been telling myself no because a fox recently got a chunk of my flock (3 chicks, one roo, and 3 hens - I'm down to 2 roos, 6 hens and 7 ducks), so I'm not (supposed to be) getting anymore until I can redo my enclosures.

House chickens for a few days might make you put your rear in gear to start building.
