I asked why they're free, and this answer does make sense - they live in a city. I don't want to ask about switching the hatchery because I really don't want to start drama, and I feel that asking that question might.

I live outside the city, so I'm allowed as many as I want.

The Brakel is an extremely rare Belgium breed similar to the Campine.
Greenfire Farms hasn’t sold Brakels in a while but if you are able to keep cockerels/cocks where you live you should definitely take them.

Do you know how much an adult Brakel chicken (specifically a rooster) is worth? If so, how much?
