Bubbly eye discharge

I just got.some chickens 2 days ago. Yesterday i noticed one of.then hens has white foamy eye discharge, only one eye. No nasal discharge, but occasional sneezing fits. She is eating and drinking fine and is the most active. Thoughts?

Mine had respiratory illness with these symptoms, although i don't know 100% treatment. I have one hen who lived through it, and one who got better, but then died of it. So it should be caught as soon as possible. I used VetRX in water and rubbed on tye hen. It is like Vicks for chickens, in my opinion.
Although that wasn't a 100% cure...

I finally got another picture. The eye discharge is down, but now it looks like a little nasal.disharge, just on the one side still.

I have seen this before in several of my chickens.

For most of them, it has just gone away and seems to be an allergic reaction. However, two of them had a respiratory infection which I had to get veterinary treatment for. They are doing splendid now and I haven't seen the bubbling.

Oddly enough, though, most of the birds I've had who got this never had any respiratory problems, and, as I said, it always went away.

If you can, I would get her checked out by a vet just in case.

I will have to wait till monday to get a vet. I was hoping it was just the stress of the move and change of household

I would separate her so you can treat her.
Could be a respiratory infection like MG (mycoplasma gallisepticum). Generally antibiotics (Tylan Soluble Powder or Oxytetracycline) is needed to treat the infection. Tylan dosage is 1 tsp per gallon of water for 3-5 days. Oxytetracycline dosage varies with whichever brand you choose, so you will have to search for the dosage. Flush the eye with saline and apply Terramycin eye ointment to the eye a couple of times a day.

You state that you just got some new chickens a couple of days ago, if so are these new chickens quarantined in a separate area from any existing flock that you may have?
