I just hatched some buff roo x Easter egger and Olive Eggers and yes, the buff Brahma genes are really strong BUT maybe when they fully feather out they'll be more mixed! That's my hope lol

I also have a thread I started on our Buff Brahma x Egger project. And plan on keeping track of colors too - in case we keep hens lol

The set of twos (each set came from same olive eggs if that makes sense) so slightly different.
Oh wow, you got a lot more variance than I did. Mine are primarily dark. I was hoping for some difference also but their wing feathers are starting to come in and tell me otherwise. I'm getting black with splashes of the Brahma coloring. I'll keep track of your thread and post mine also. Maybe next batch will be different. I'm going to be incubating consistently until June or so

I just seen you have other breeds included! Did you get a good amount of beards with feathers down the legs on your cross?

Only had one with cheek muffs and shs from our white EE. None of the others look like they have muffs or beards but all have feathered legs and as their wing feathers come in they ALL (but the two lighter colored chicks) resemble buff coloration lol. I'll definitely keep posts updated, I'm definitely a visual person

I'm noticing the same on mine lol, we got about 50/50 with the muffs. I sold all the ones without muffs. I like the muffs and feathered legs 😄

When we got our first Olive Eggers. I was like Nooo! Beards! But they grew on me lol

Here are updated photos of my recent hatch
Hello, I thought I'd update to show the pretty close to full grown cross I had with the Brahma Easter eggers! They turned out better than I expected! The only thing now is to see what kind of colored egg vs brown egg ratio I get I'm hoping all colored but we will see!

Sure are cute with the muffs! Hopefully some of our Brahma/ee next year have more muffs lol
