I have been talking with some people and they think one of the eggs might be dead(it has a crack in it tho). I will give the eggs till monday and wait to see what happens. Here is the pic of the egg we think is dead and that has a crack in it:Well ducklings don't have a calendar inside those eggs so they don't go by a date. lol If they were mine though I'd have to candle and smell at least by tomorrow. She'll get over being upset.
A little but not that bad...it didn't really smell like rotten egg just more like poo. Also mama seems to not want to eat/drink. Will she starve to death?Yep that doesn’t look good did it smell.
Thanks for asking but no.Anything happening?
None of the eggs hatch and we figured out none were fertile.
It was sad but know we know letting a duck go broody in off season is not that good idea. Although I am not able to say the ducklings arrived I can say I learned that Buff ducks CAN go broody and that we have a bigger chance for the spring season. Thanks for all of you guy who have helped me!
