Wow I'm glad she still seems ok. That looks like a lot of fluid to me but I have no idea if it is or not. I hope she's ok and she's lucky to have you. I still can't tell which one of mine had the problem, they are all fine now.

I think you got this we're going to ask you questions now. do I see just a little red on the right side .it looks very clear. are this shipped eggs can you talk to the supplier. Is this a common thing in their flock haha ! like they would tell you. If you hatched this bird don't buy there again . the only thing else I would ask is heat source in brooding could it be burn? If it was purchased local take It back

Good morning. Good eye, I may have nicked a vessel on the way in. It's a bit of blood. I hatched these eggs last Weekend, I bought them fairly locally about 80 mule drive. I found the guy on a local byc, Facebook page. I did have the brooder light full on for the first couple of hours. I hooked it up to a thermostat to regulate the temperature. The brooder is a large stock tank so plenty of room to maneuver. It didn't look like a burn, but could have been a blister. It fluff on the area looks good. I would also like to find the cause. I could ask him if he has seen this before. It may just be one of those things like spina bifida.

If you figure this out let me know . slip in the lab do a culture I won't tell anyone.

It looked like it is coming back this morning. I have a horrible feeling that there maybe something wrong with her skull and it may be cerebrospinal fluid. She may grow out of it as things grow, but I don't fancy having to drain it every week. I will just have to keep a close eye on it.
