UMMMMM good stuff! Paperwork and resting, watching it rain. Critters are all in hang-out mode, myself included.

Haha my landlords so cute. He rides up in his golf cart, and I hear this voice through the door. "Kat!!! Kat!!!" So okay. Take a break from the evil brain numbing paperwork for the new job and toddle outside. "YOUR CHICKENS ARE OUT!!"

Yep. Planned free roam time when I'm at home. He's excited for whenever we start getting eggs.

I hope I haven't missed too much. Been working more than I would like, and been busy with the holiday. My daughter did come home, which was nice.

Two more days and they start digging our basement and we are still trying to straighten out our building permit. Don't get DH started on this....he calls it extortion money. And someone can't seem to read a set of blueprints. Thankfully we seem to have a system worked out for dealing with the issues.

Momma bird has hatched two new babies, so I'm back to watching at the patio door. I don't think it will ever get old. And we had a snake right by the garage door. I wanted it dead, but DH had other ideas and threw it out in the field. I suppose that was ok, it was only a garden snake, but as I see it, a snake is a snake and they are all yucky!

Raining again...I think I need to build an ark!

Lol he's kinda 50/50 on em. At first when he found out I wanted chickens he let it be known his opinion that chickens were kinda annoying to take care of. And he's let it be known his anger to a neighbors rooster. But he's cool with mine - always asks if I have any roos- I've told em they're sexed but I dunno. We'll find out soon enough! He claims to be cool if I end up with a roo but I have a gut feeling if I do have a roo and he's a noisy one he'll find his way to the soup pot.
