BYC Café

Puffball pizza...

Slices about half an inch thick on the grill

Done grilling with olive oil and garlic

Pesto or red sauce?

Baked in the oven to melt and brown the cheese.

Hubby had two slices! They are quite good.

Hi, Krista, good to see you here.

Thanks 'Sour. Been a bit diverted with my accounting work of late, being that it's end of financial year here at the moment. Always a pleasure to pop in as time allows though.

Krista, you can always drop in here for a chat, but I understand the appeal of chatting in real time.

Don't worry, 3goodeggs, I have no intention of swapping one for the other. I am greedy - I want both!

I understand Krista, that is what I would love to have - even just ONE 3 dimensional friend. The ladies on the senior bus won't do anything outside their comfort zone, like go to a movie or out to lunch even at a fast food place. There is one group of ladies that does that BUT, they go to places where they can get BOOZED UP. Not what I was hoping for.

@Krista Winter also but seems odd - not as cold today and the birds are making nests - can't help but feel we are in for a really cold surpise before it all ends. Also had the wind over the weekend, straight off the antartic - my poor chooks were buffetted all over the place they are so light and little Molly ended up in the tree squawking her lungs out Henry flew up and pushed her down ran straight to mum, they then went inside. That wind was so cold it literally froze your nose . Lovely today though 7deg c so bit chilly, but sun hot.

Wish I could borrow your accounting sklls, also tax year here and have so much to sort out as hubby was retrenched and the GOV want to take all his pension and dealing with the Revenue Service is a nightmare. lol always conveniently busy and can never get thru on phone and the queues are huge..

Not sure if you want to chat to SA's but you did thrash us at Rugby - so well done..

Yeah, I don't feel like I'm asking for much DD. Just a physical person, to sit opposite me, while we eat lunch or have a cuppa. Or someone who wants to go to the library with me for an afternoon. Or watch a dvd. Or chat. My life is fairly mundane, it's not like I'm looking for a sky-diving companion! I was told by the supermarket cashier here that you must do one of four things to fit in in this town: Drinking, Fishing, Praying or Sport. I don't do an of those things. I am considering taking up drinking though....!

You will laugh at me but I know so little about sport and geography that I had to google SA vs Australia to see what the "SA" stood for. Also, to check the scores so that I could rub it in, lol. I wasn't sure if you were in South Africa or South America! Then I 'woke up' and saw in your tag that you are in South Africa. Thank the lord I am good at math - I certainly was never going to get a job teaching geography, lol.

Yep, two things in life are certain - death and taxes. If I must choose one of the two evils, I'll go with tax

I take it the "Revenue Service" is where you lodge your tax returns? And I am presuming that your dear hubby received some sort of package when he was retrenched? Yep, it does not surprise me that the Government's eyes are lighting up at the thought of that! Get yourself a good accountant my friend.

And your poor chookies. I'm glad they ran for the safety of the coop.

Hi Krista,

A little birdie says it's your b-day...so...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

Funny, around here drinking, fishing (and probably praying too) are sports. We've lived here for almost 2 years and only found 1 couple that could be considered friends. And they aren't often available because they are raising grandchildren. TG for BYC where there are nice, like-minded folks to chat with but it would be nice to have a real-life Café to visit.

Hope you have a good day!
