Good morning everyone
I slept lousy but it is a lovely warm day so coffee will have to do me instead of sleep.
I got the broiler pen finished yesterday and let my chicks out to enjoy the grass and sunshine.

Good morning , all. Princess is off to NYC to see a broadway play. I'll be a bachelor for the day

Well my phone is being onery this morning, this is the only pic I can get to load. As you can see my cats find them fascinating, so do my hens. I left one top panel just chicken wire instead of the tin. I can lift the tin, but it is heavy, the chicken wire is much easier.
I lost all but three of that first batch that got wet I think they were just so weakened they slowly died off. I got more layers from the feed store, they are thriving.

Morning! Back to sunny but the winds were screaming last night. Woke up to the power coming back on and so I checked the incubator and I think we are still good; it read 91.3 in there and with the eggs being closer to lockdown , I guess I won't have too long to see if they made it or not.

DS# starts his "poop pills" tonight in prep for surgery tomorrow.
I think today is going to be a coffee kinda day for sure. DS$ got his Freestyle wrestling tournament schedule and so now I can start planning around all of that......
Winds are still rocking out there, oh well, off to make breakfast for the ambitious athlete......

Good Morning? Nothing like being woken up at 4:30 to the sound of a dog throwing up on the new carpet..
It will be a pot of coffee at least today. I'm off to work then I have a garden meeting tonight. Which is rather funny as it is still snowing!

Two cute little deer, maybe two year olds, munching on the carrots under the tree. I don't bait them, I was cleaning my frig. Deer population is down here, so anything that will help...

Full day, it sounds. Low temps are better than high in the incubator, so hopefully they are all ok. I locked down a few last night.

I slept lousy but it is a lovely warm day so coffee will have to do me instead of sleep.
I got the broiler pen finished yesterday and let my chicks out to enjoy the grass and sunshine.

Nothing worse than facing the day after lousy sleep, good on ya for the broiler pen, though, you'd think that would have been enough to lead to a long sleep!

Strangely, it has not been humid, which is really nice, but it has been hot enough for the air to kick on.
I wish we could just pipe it to you. I have never turned the air on before June, and we had it on in March this year.

The wind is back here too today, woke up to wind warning messages from the local news channel. At least it came before the wind so I could get out and batten down the hatches

Worst sound ever, and will pull you out of the deepest sleep (alarm clock companies are missing the mark with buzzers, lol)
We have a lovely population of deer that come up to the backside of our place to get the old salt blocks I toss over the fence when I replace with new for the horses (or did anyway, moved last horse of the property in February)....before we fenced for pattie they be right up by the house and come round the front to drink from our pond when summer dried up other water sources
