BYC Café

I just ate 2 slices of thick toast with butter, 3 (yes, THREE) of my girl's eggs and a cup of strong black coffee for breakfast and I'm STILL HUNGRY.

What is wrong with me, lol?

As a side note, I just bought a book online called "Embrace - From body loather to body lover." It encourages us to accept our bodies for what they are - whether that be weight related, age related etc. Considering the size of my breakfast, and the fact that I just KNOW I'm going to be hunting through my pantry for more food shortly, I may well have bought this book just in time

Am I the only one with such a hearty appetite? I do work hard, on the farm as well as in my accounting capacity. I have long days, getting up at 5am and not going to bed until 9pm. I'm just not one of those girls who can live off a lettuce leaf alone. I am a solid build - built to work, but not built for speed!

I myself eat 4 eggs and a good medium sized sliced an fried potato with some kind of a meat for a start on my day, with 2 toast and 2 or 3 cups of coffee. Not to upset anybody but I only cross the scales at 165 # US, and I'm over 64 years old. My fav. #3 DD who helps with the morning chores and eats breakfast with me, the same plate as I do, and is a big solid boned woman at 5'11" ***# ( I don't want to be hurt) I don't think you are in any way in the wrong! It's your body keep it happy!

Aren't you trying for kids?

Hummmmm?
nudge -wink.

Lol, I am, but we're not quite up to that stage yet! I am on twice daily injections to force my body to ovulate, at which point they will do surgery to harvest my eggs and then inseminate them and use IVF to get me pregnant. It is not physically possible for hubby and I to do it on our own - I wish it was that easy! So unfortunately I can't use that excuse - yet!

YAY! Further endorsement that I can eat well! I must admit I am a bit of a chunky monkey - abut 6kg above where I probably should be. That being said, hubby says of all the workers on the farm I go the hardest without breaks, so I guess fuelling up is helping with that.
