Good morning!

We're slow to get going this morning and I'm opting for coffee instead of a ski. Might not make it out today if the wind picks up - it's around 2kph now and is supposed to jump to 20kph in....20 min lol. So we'll see

Good on you @Michelle Farmer-Brown , DH went out last week to check the swamp ice; even though it's barely gotten above -15 there was so much snow it created an insulating layer and the ice wasn't frozen through. So we'll wait a bit before cutting down some trees. Heck, it might be fine now, not sure. We're going to have to buy a cord of wood this year for sure. We have dreams of cutting enough ourselves to last a winter though

How much do you pay for a cord there? I bet you get some nice hardwood. Here we get birch and that's about it.

So DH says it depends on how often you cut it. We d
Only cut it 3 times a year and that allows the roots to grow, if you get in that extra one or two cuttings you stress the plant and it works to regrow instead of the roots.

Thanks for the info. Only 2 cuts. The 2nd was in August, but it was cut really short.

Happens here all the time. We're sandwiched in between 4 lakes which causes quite a swirling effect.

Please tell me all about your greenhouse made from old Windows! FIL is a horder and we have a bunch of old windows in our barn.

Your guess is as good as mine... SO has plans, but they're not anything that's shared with me. I'll take pics as we progress.
