Their a variety of reasons why a Cesarean section might be necessary. In my opinion most should eliminate a b*tch from a breeding program as they may be heritable traits.
And Bella should have been spayed after the first litter. But I think the woman that imported her was looking for a money maker. Good quality European Dobermans go for $3,000 a pup if cropped. Bella came from championship blood lines but she doesn't have great conformation.
These are her parents:

The rest of the country is still burning so feeling particularly blessed.
Are you safe from the fires?

Anywhere that dips into single figures I would deem rather cold ~ verging on super cold...:lau Below 0 & I'd declare you officially insane...:p
And for those that may not be thinking about it, that would be 0°C which isn't at all cold for a lot of us in the winter.

I'm not sure why I have white birds because they all look brown right now because of all the wet weather we have been getting this winter
All my white hens have turned brown. Mud, dust baths, whatever.

When I was a kid I wanted a summer birthday so I could have a pool party. I lived in New York.
June 28th is a GREAT time for a half year pool birthday party!

Its interesting. Here the birds usually don't mourn the loss of a flockmate, at least not outwardly.
I've never noticed any of my birds seem to care a bit that one of their flockmates "disappeared".

Nice! Is this your 1st year with artichokes or is it an existing plant from previous years?
I have to plant them yearly since they can't survive the cold. My Aunt had some huge ones in Mill Valley, CA.

Girls are better than boys any day!:gig
Then why did you marry a boy?? ;)

She had 6 puppies May of this year and 7 more at the end of September.
 Puppy mill! I'm glad she decided to give up the dogs.

I don't swing both ways , and I wanted kids.

I had to have a cesarean- one is plenty in a life time. I was so dumb thought, when the stitches came out, I would feel fine. YIKES!!! I had 28 hours of back labor because baby was head down but facing the wrong way and kicking the daylights out of my back.

I was taking plenty of hot showers, only the heat diminished the pain somewhat.
