LOL, of my new brood in the brooder, I have one that will jump in my hand and go right to sleep... a second one has just discovered chest rubs and seems to like it. They are two weeks old today! Funny how they came out color wise.

Anybody want to play in the sand? Within seconds of adding sand to the brooder, the chicks were on it like a duck on a junebug!

I miss typed previously color when I should have said patterns.

Still 70's today and tomorrow then 50's and rain for the foreseeable future. I'd better get on planting my bulbs, tubers and hydrangeas before I run out of time. Already can't wait until spring

Another good thing to do with sand?
.....is fill 8 or 16 ounce sour cream containers to put your feed and water on top of.
Keeps them much cleaner.

Got some grass seed, and raked the steep area to seed against erosion.
Not as big as I'd thought...and everything is looking better today...attrition or ?
Ran errands and now need to rest before big coop task push tomorrow.

Winter prep stuff.... shade cloths down/dried/rolled/stashed, repaired window re-installed, fan and mount out of another window. Want to get those done before rain and dropping temps come on Monday.
