Just got back in, and another one is out The first one to pip is still trying. I assume it's okay even against the side of the bator. Lots of cheeping going on.View attachment 2542876

They're coming out a lot faster than I thought they would! Have at least two new pips, but the chicks have rolled everyone to the outside!

Seems she will have lots of fun use I have a small steralite
Mine is on the shelf next ti incubators I have stay on heating pad I lay over it .. that is my temp brooder for peeps just paper towels in the bottom litle bit of food water after two days

There is a growing movement here to dump 'best before' dates. Obviously it is in the manufacturers' interests for them to be as short as possible, and since they run the tests to determine for how long something is at its 'best', there's a perverse incentive towards waste. BB dates were started by Marks&Spencers in the 1970s with the best of intentions, but even they admit the system's become warped over the decades.

We've got @aart's drippy weather here. My deck is currently a skating rink though. It's 33F out and still slowly dripping off the roof and freezing on the deck. We're expected to hit over 50 today!

Where are all the babies, Meg??!! I figured you'd be up all night and have a bunch of cute peeper pictures to share.
