@Fanci Feathers Marans , does Photoshop have anti pixel in it?
The word you’re looking for is “vector images.” Photoshop CAN create vectors and does it quite well (I have graphic design jobs on the side and use photoshop and indesign frequently) but it will always technically save the image as raster (the pixels you see). You can make very clean vector designs and logos that are crisp, but if you were to fill them, the inside would be raster and thus borders WOULD suffer in extreme scaling. It’s really not a problem most times, certainly not for a project like this, IMO.

TLDR; photoshop can create vectors quite well but does NOT save as a true vector file.

Hey guys. I've been following this thread since it started.
I want to give my .02 and voice my opinion that you make this harder than it has to be. You are trying to reinvent the wheel. I am a mega genetics freak; I just finished IB Biology HL 1.
I am big into ball pythons and I don't know if you chicken folks know about it, but a VERY good and detailed ball python genetic calculator already exists.
You can input male and female breeds (including parent crosses) and get the offspring results as well as probability.
They use real pictures of the animals if they have them.

Give it a go and mess around with it.
I think you'll find what you're looking for.

I asked my boy who knows more than me about computer stuff. he said that a spreadsheet set-up would work. I thought it might, but wasn't really sure. apparently you can tell it to generate things with an "if" command.

he's using words i don't know.... but he says Excel is super powerful and reading the help file in Excel, will help a person learn how it can be used for more stuff.........

I wish I understood this stuff. :p

My dad also said that Excel would be a good program to use.

That looks like more of what I was thinking except adding skin/shank/egg/etc color and smooth/frizzld/silkied. Also, feathered legs...

I like the simpler chicken calculators, but the simple ones are WAY too simple ( http://www.mechelsekoekoek.com/breedbook/?action=geneticscalculator ) and for me, the advanced ones are WAY too complicated ( http://kippenjungle.nl/kruising.html )
