Maybe, although if the parents were frizzled or silkied then just a generic chicken probably wouldn't be all too helpful.


Definitely had bearded chickens in mind.


That'd be good, if you don't feel very confident then thats okay, you could probably do easier colours if you'd like. You can also feel free to put a good ref in the corner whilst you colour, as that'd make it easier.

Wow! It's pretty good! If you feel confident in using it as a base, you can follow the template I posted for the silkies (Six birds per page) and then colour some variants thad'd be great!

Is there any paticular breed you'd like to draw a base for? Or would you like to just colour bases?

One of the things I have found that could be a problem in having a different template for each breed is that if uou cross two or more breeds together... unless it didnt have a picture and just said it's characteristics.

I agree, I do think it would be easier to do only a few completely different bases -- standard and largefowl. Then maybe there could be small edits made to each base for things like comb, feathering, etc??
Also I think a little 'egg' next to the chicken to show what the egg color (or hypothetical egg color) could be.

I mean, I've done some *very* light studies on punnett squares, and its not a cut-and-dry deal. When you got four or nine different outcomes for each different pairing- wAha! It's a mess.
