Having had bonded pairs, having almost always had a flock. I refuse to ever have a single budgie, they get far too much joy from a birdie friend. I could never live up to that standard as a replacement!
What brands do you have there?
Personally i think one of the main hindrances in seed to pellet is people only try like one pellet. They do the research find that one pellet everyone thinks is THE pellet and then their bird thinks it's disgusting and won't eat it. Then they give up or get disheartened because if they try any other pellet someone will tell them their feeding junk to their bird.Yeah that makes sense. I probably shouldn’t have given up on trying to transition them over and if I’d kept them, I might have tried again at some point. But it did seem to work for them. And thankfully the stores now are feeding them fruits and veggies. But that was after I got mine. So mine weren’t fed that to get used to it unfortunately.
That’s why I’m changing mines diet with advice from you and the other bird nerds.Personally i think one of the main hindrances in seed to pellet is people only try like one pellet. A good pellet is one your bird eats. If they don't eat it it's useless doesn't matter the quality of the ingredients etc.
