I so wish I could make Stockton. Everyone have a great time for me! Hope to see some of you at Anderson though.

Anyone with young kids going to the Shasta County 4-H show? I think it is the day after Anderson show.

I was thinking of trying spinach in our greenhose, (unheated), to feed the girls.  Would kale or another crop be better?

Chard grows faster than spinach. Plus it will bolt and re-seed itself.

I would go broke literally trying to care for what...that's at least 50 chickens. $28 a week assuming they sold all the eggs...would that even cover food? I don't feed that many chickens. Are they eating scratch do you think? I know people that only feed their chickens scratch. How do the chickens survive? (honestly asking) I'm so curious lol!

Maybe they are pullet eggs, we have a local that sells the little ones really cheap. Once they get bigger the price really goes up.

Huh! Interesting! Pullet eggs are my favorite. That's why I like the bantam eggs haha!

I blow out the bantams eggs and feed it back to them if we don't eat them. I have a hard time cracking them due to the cuteness factor.
