Beautiful!Ya Hoo! We got rain! First time in several months. I've been saving gray water from the house and fish tanks to water my roses. That's a pain but it makes us more conscious of the water we waste like running the water until it get's hot to brush our teeth.
Here's a picture of our coop after 3 week-ends. The back doesn't have outside walls or doors yet. It's a long ways from being finished. It is 4'x8'. We're making it so it can be divided. We just have the three Jap bantams. I have all mismatched windows from the local salvage store. Our vents are up under the roof where you can't really see them from the picture.

I don't have very good pics of the turner still in and hatching eggs in the plastic containers. I just loaded up my incubator yesterday or I would have staged a shot for you. This last round, I wanted to take all the racks off except for the 1 closest to the turner motor. But I decided that it was better for the turner to leave that rack on and also the first one. I removed all the center ones and kept the last stage eggs on the first rack. I left it that way for another day then because my stage 2 and 3 eggs were only 3 to 4 days behind the first group, I removed the turner before the first group starting pipping and placed the later eggs in a trimmed egg carton inside their own plastic container. All eggs hatched except for 1 in the first group.I like the idea of leaving the turner in and removing some trays... Do you by chance have a picture of it?
I wish that @IncubatorWarehouse.com could make it easier for me to get a replacement lcd control unit form my incubator. I emailed GQF about getting one of them and was told that I had to call to get the part number and pricing from them.I see @IncubatorWarehouse.com is currently lurking. Good to have you here. Do your ears burn when we talk about Incubators? LOL
Perhaps you can PM them now that you know they are byc membersI wish that @IncubatorWarehouse.com could make it easier for me to get a replacement lcd control unit form my incubator. I emailed GQF them and was told that I had to call to get the part number and pricing from them.

So you let the chicks hatch in cut up egg cartons in plastic container? They don't have to be on their side with free movement?I don't have very good pics of the turner still in and hatching eggs in the plastic containers.
