I wanted to share the beautiful blue egg that one of my coturnix quail laid today. The other is the typical color and a bobwhite.

That is a great looking egg! I was hoping that one of my EEs would lay an egg today. I miss the blue ones. One was fighting with the Broody Basque Hen. One of the other EOs laid one but not the EE.
Quote: Turkeys lay a very pretty egg. They are white and speckled.

oh, they are so beautiful!! works of art, truly.

and i took a few more photos today -- it's just been such beautiful weather (despite the chill), couldn't resist!

hanging out by the coop with the little girls, about an hour after the bobcat nearly gave them all heart attacks! they seem to have recovered...

the two new girls from Deann, Maggie (basque) and Lucy (CL)

the big girls, in the garden by the house -- one of the marans is blurred as she's hopping up onto the deck...

hanging out by the front of the house! (yes, unconventional siding...)

the light sussex twins, jane and anna -- such glamor girls!
