Call Ducks Finally Hatched

My colored pair are starting to lay eggs in their nest box. I am going to let them do the hatching. I have read that if you incubate them yourself most die because they won't eat. so you will have to wait for chicks after they get a little older. :)

That's no problem. If you incubate and hatch them you have to drop them in order to get them to eat. Literally have to drop them from a few feet up in the air. Crazy I know but it has to be done lol

Wow! I never heard that before. Thanks for the information! If I can sneek and take a couple eggs out without them knowing about it i could send eggs. Your choice.

I don't mind waiting for babies. I just worry about the heat here with shipping in June. It will be well into the 90s by then. Would you be willing to make the swap in Sept when temps cool back down?

Awww. Adorable. I have 2 that have internally pipped. Due date is Tue but mine always seem to come a day early. We'll see though. I haven't been having much luck with mine lately. Can't figure out how to keep the humidity down during incubation and they keep getting sticky. My last ones did great and I thought I had it figured out but when I moved them to the hatcher, bammm sticky and couldn't get out. I'm leaving these in the incubator and we'll see how it goes at only 35% humidity

Good luck! mine have been pipping 1 or 2 days early. The ones I started in my new incubator seem to all be doing good. I just have to make sure I don,t mess it up.
