Anne Rice equals love. And I love me some gay vamps, I gotta say. I'm kinda a yaoi fan. If you know what that is, three cheers for you. If you don't, DONT GOOGLE IT! You've been warned! *smiles innocently* I did enjoy Interview with a Vampire, but probably only because I saw the movie before reading the book. Queen of the darn is ust funny, and I've seen it a million times and laugh without fail. I love books on tape, and there's nothing like listening to some Anne Rice on a stormy night when you're falling asleep. Good stuff.
Invader Zim is pretty much the best thing ever. I swear to god, I see the world in the same sickening yet funny way it's depicted in IZ. I have a little banner of Gir stuffing his face with candy that says "I looooove candy!" above my bed. Why? Because it's Gir.
Here's a good series that I know most of you will love. It's by Kim Harrison, and the first book is called Dead Witch Walking. Cheesy cover art, brilliant on the inside. It's pretty much about how werewolves, vamps, pixies, faeries, witches, and elves all used to live amongst us but hid from humanity because they were worried about being persecuted, but after an epidemic that wiped out most of humanity until it was the same size as the "magical" society, everyone kinda said "well to hell with it" and "came out of the closet" it terms of speaking. Now there's two separate governments, one for humans and one for everyone else, and it's funny and sad and very intense. I'd recommend it highly. And if you guys haven't read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer you should be shot. For real. They're making a movie out of it, hopefully it wont fail at life like most vampire books gone hollywood... x.x
