Calling out all the freaks!

Just watched Queen of the darn again last night. I still watch it cuz Stuart Townsend is fine. I was trying to explain the real story to my husband. I heard that there were " too many conflicting vampire agendas" so they just combined them all into one. Lame. And why was Armand blonde and Lestat brunette? Hair dye is really cheap. I think they could've splurged on a couple boxes of Nice and Easy...it's only like $4. LOL.

oh yeah ! i love dawn of the dead but then again i'm not a mom. i'm 16, but i'm a christian but deifntely dress altertaive. horror movies, raw rock, ever heard of showbread? sweet chirstian raw rock band!!

I know what yaoi is...and hentai and such LoL I used to work at 'one of those stores' and a comic book store back in the day

I liked Interview as a stand alone, not based on the books movie. I was really into horror film make up when it came out and the stuff that was doneto get certain effects was awesome and very cutting edge at the time. But if you view it as based on the book its awful...esp Armand's character! Queen was awful...in all respects LoL.
Anyone here read Poppy Z. Brite? I became obsessed with her books around 92-93. I also love Charlaine Harris' southern vampire series. I dig vamps and werewolves the mostest!

I have heard of Harris, but I have not read her yet. Maybe I can get to that this summer. Vampires are my favorite. I agree that IWTV was a good movie on its own if you do not consider the book. I think it would have been better had Cruise and Pitt swapped roles. They both look the part of the other role, and I think they would have both fit the opposite role better. QOTD, like you said, was just horrible all over. I can't think of one good thing about it, but that's all a matter of opinion. I read Poppy Brite many years ago, but I have not revisited for any of her newer stuff-it might be time to do that. It'd be very hard to beat Rice at her best, though.

No we did not start talking about hentai...I worked at one of those stores too. Ever seen The Bondage Fairies comic? Eeew. Bugs...
Interview definately good if u 4get about the book. Queen...I just wanted to gaze up from here periodically and see Stuart Townsend.
Poppy Z Brite rocks. Lost Souls is a great vampier book. Uuuh...I miss spelled vampire..doh!

Whoever said they saw Dawn of the dead did you mean the old one or the new one? I LOVE George Romero! No I definately havent heard of that band. My son loves zombie movies. According to the doctor he is a genious and is as advanced as a 3 1/2 year old so anyone who thinks they have to suffer through Barney or Blues Clues to make your kid smart...here's some good news...not true. We just treat him like a minerature adult. He likes to dance to rap music too. LOL.

I wanna watch Lost Boys now that we've been talking about vamps...

When I was REALLY little, my absolute favorite movie was Aliens. I watched it EVERY day and I knew just about every line. As a 5 year old, my dad took me to see Alien 3 in theatres. I remember getting some pretty strange looks! My parents always let us watch R rated movies though, as long as we didn't curse. My other favorites included Predator, Terminator, and "The Running Man". Didn't hurt me a bit! I always did very well in school and I've never had nightmares like the other kids. My brother either.

They are filming Twilight in Shreveport as we speak! My son has made me promise to read the books, and then let him read them, so we are headed to the bookstore today. When you drive around Shreveport now, you see signs everywhere marking where that day's film shot will be taking place. They put the signs up in "code" though.. for example, "Twilight" is posted as "Midnight" on the signs. I guess it keeps some people from driving around looking for certain movies.
Since the Katrina, Shreveport has become the place to shoot movies in Louisiana during hurricane season.

I love the soundtrack though! And as for Armand... I was SOOOOO let down.. whenever he's on screen, my cousin and I both say, "ohh, I'm Armand, grrr" in a silly, gay-boy voice. I much prefered Antonio as Armand.
