can anyone explain what the first attempted crows of a roo sound like and the average

One of my LF chanteclers missed every other syllable in his crow for a while. It sounded like "cock-do-doo" More typical is when they make the first two and then run out of gas. Mature cocks can get in the full cock-a-doodle-do at times.

Bantams always sound pretty funny, I had a mature one that sounded like he was saying "happy new year" when he crowed.
 
Then you have the occasional hen who has a crow that sounds more credible than the cockerel trying to belt out his first notes.
My little OEGB hen sounded quite well practised the first time I heard her crow. Maybe she was tuning her voice on the sly, little stinker.
