when will the egg start cracking?? will it crack on the same day that it would hatch?? about how many hours will it take for the chick to hatch after the egg is crackd?

I think under a hen, they tend to start hatching a little early. (I haven't hatched under a hen yet) It can take up to 24 hours from the first crack to a hatched chick.
Back to the original question of putting chicks in with the adults. I have made a flat rectangular cage 1'X3'X5' that I put the chicks in inside the Coop with they get feathered. After a couple weeks of the chicks and adults seeing each other they don't attack the chicks as intruders. I keep separate food and water of course and open the chick cage door just enough for the chicks to explore after the two weeks but not enough for the adults to get in and eat the chick food (learned the hard way). I made my cage out of a old Ferret cage someone left on the side of the road with a "Free" sign on it---works great. I've never had any introductory fight problems since I started doing it that way.
Hey Bency, keep your chicks in with your birds. They'll be fine. These folks don't understand you are hatching with a broody hen in a normal environment and chicks have grown up side by side with their loving daddy's for ... EVER
As for the scaley leg mite, apply vaseline/petroleum jelly/mineral oil.... anything that will suffocate the mite while softening the leg. Maybe get a toothbrush and work the lubricant inder th scales.
In a short week, the scales will fall off and brand new skin will emerge.
As for the eggs, they will begin to "pip" around day 20 and should hatch shortly thereafter. One day you will go into the coop and here the peep peep peep. Then hen will stay on the eggs for a day or two then forage for food. Make sure the nest is near the ground so the babies don't have too far to jump
its around day 23 today.. but, chicks haven't hatched yet.. should i still expect them or not?? one aunt of mine, was like could take even 25 days.. is that true??
