so my one female pekin had some issues with not laying, the doctor thought maybe it was an infection so she prescribed her cephalexin 2 times a day for a little over a week. Yesterday morning was her last treatment. I noticed her face has gotten a little fatter. Is this normal? I posted pictures!

should not ever be a problem keep an eye on her but you daily exams will do that
you know your birds well

She eats plenty and drinks and swims and forages, so I’m just hoping it’s a side effect. She is herself other than looking a bit chubby in the face lol

it is great your aware of you flock to see the change many would not notice
even a little bee sting can cause the swelling

I spend time with them everyday. They’re my kids lol I have a gut feeling the swelling is from the meds. Hoping she is ok and it’s nothing serious.
