I would definitely x2 or x3 the no heat lamp deal. We had a balmy -22F this morning and everyone made it through just fine. I had a couple friends lose their flock in a coop fire a couple of years ago...can't even imagine. That would be devastating

Wow very nice. The foil wrap for the nests is a good idea, but I think it will work better if it is on the outside of the 2x4 structural members. That stuff needs an air gap to reflect radiant heat and the 1.5" space would be ideal.

Very nice coop! A properly ventilated coop does not need heat... anyway the heat unless radiant just goes out the top.

It helps to get the best answers if you put your location in your profile. Makes a big difference between Miami and Nome in the answers...

The next thing I need to do is add an overhang over my roll out nest box, I see you have a bit of overhang.
