House thing is my fault. There are somethings I realized that They were going half baked so I wouldn't ask anymore. Now I don't do the things that doesn't effect me directly ie the boys laundry. I just shut the bedroom door. I'm yelling at him to get in here to read your posts

Hmmmm... get him off his butt eh? Dart leagues, bowling team, pool... Join some non profit org and do charity work- for me--that worked big time. When I lived in the city, I volunteered 3x a week for various orgs. Now, too far away from city and too busy with new house/property. I will get back into volunteer work soon--I miss it.

Sounds like he likes working with his hands - does he still have any of his jewelry making stuff? Help him get crafty with whatever already exist. We tore out two old 1/2 whiskey barrel planters. Being the "Don't throw that away, I might need it" pack rat. I used 1 of the old galvanized metal whiskey barrel rings and some of my old seed beads to make a huge spiderweb. It turned out great and kept me and DH busy for over a week.
All I had to buy was a 2 dollar roll of wire that I could solder at Hobby Lobby. I plan on making at least one more. My hubby also made a really big windchime out of some old cymbals he had. (Yes he is a drummer). He found some old metal steak plates out in the shop and now I have an even louder windchime. We have a very noisy and busy yard. LOL

Yea. he's a hands on person as long as the thing he's working one isn't tiny. Woodworking and model trains sounds good

I didn't read all the posts but here's what my DH is probably going to start doing:

Making birdhouses and mini log cabins (that can also be used as birdhouses). It is a fun hobby but you can also sell them at flea markets and craft shows. I've seen a guy selling them at the flea market in Raleigh. He made a killing selling those things!!!
