Chick or not ?

I’m just after some advice, my hen hatched a chick last spring after spending time with a young cockerel for a few weeks , we re-homed him last summer, now she’s back sitting on her eggs and 2 feel heavy . I’ve heard they can store sperm for a long time is it possible they could have a chick inside? How can I tell ?
