In the Brooder
Last week I bought 2 hens from an owner nearby. They were fine other than some feathers lost due to an over aggressive rooster. This morning I let them out of the coop and I went back to check on them to realize that one of my new hens is still on the roosting pole sleeping. She is refusing to open her eyes for anything. Typically she is still scared of me but today she won’t even open her eyes if I nudge her or anything like that. Her breathing is normal, it isn’t too hot this time of day. It looks like she just isn’t a morning person, but I know that isn’t the case. Depression from the move? Egg bound?
