chickens eating eggs?

My flock of 9 hens had really molted.. a month ago . it looked like it had snowed! so many white feathers.
I know they don't lay when molting, but now fully feathered... but I don't get any eggs. I went out yeterday and found a hen eating an egg!
so maybe they are laying but then eating them before I can get tothe coop?
what should I do?

Mine will eat the eggs if they are already broken. Eggs are good for them. If they are breaking and then eating the eggs that another story, your hen after molting may need some extra protien in her diet and I think that will help alot. I would do some research here on BYC and see what others have said. Good Luck!!!
