Clip wings?

New chicken owner here. I live in town and have thought about clipping the wings of my chicks at some point so I don’t have to worry about them getting out of our yard by air when they free range the yard periodically . Just wanted some input! Thanks!!

When you clip wings, you clip the long flight feathers on one wing even with the rest of the wing feathers. It makes it harder for them to fly over fences into others yards but not enough that they can't get into roosts.
